Chris has a number of years of experience in all aspects of private client and residential conveyancing work. He has spoken at various events and given a number of seminars on these topics.

Experience:

• Undertaken probate and related estate administration work for many high value cases of £5 million plus dealing with the taxation aspects associated with these matters.
• Involved in several probate cases with cross border elements and dealing with foreign based layers to co-ordinate the approach to settle the international estate.
• Dealing with applications to reseal foreign grants of  probate from Canada and Australia.
• Advising agricultural clients on the implementation of a working farm to the next generation.
• Various applications to the Court of Protection for deputy appointments, trustee appointments and for statutory Wills.
• Chris has advised on the creation of complex trusts including those for disabled beneficiaries.
• Acting as  deputy in a case in the Court of Protection when no family member was available to take on the role.
• Instructed in several cases for groups of tenants for both lease extensions and acquisition of freehold reversion.
• Acting for a landlord owning a complex leasehold development requiring section 5 “right of first refusal” notices.
• Representing tenants in a collective enfranchisement application up to and including to the relevant tribunal.
