About Andrew

Andrew is a corporate finance partner and heads the Transaction and Business Services department at Berry Smith.

His extensive expertise in corporate law has gained him a personal citing in both Legal 500 and Chamber and Partners as a leading individual in the corporate field, recognising the expert knowledge and professionalism that he offers his clients.

Andrew joined Berry Smith in 1994 to establish the TBS team and has been instrumental in building the award-winning department into one of the leading corporate, commercial and employment law teams in Wales. He also holds non-executive director positions in a number of successful companies.

• Andrew provides comprehensive corporate and commercial advice to a diverse range of clients.
• He often leads Berry Smith’s specialist project teams, administering a range of intricate and sophisticated inter-linked corporate services to companies, funders, third sector and other prominent organisations.
• Andrew has particular specialist knowledge of the life science and diagnostic sectors, having acted for several high-profile clients in these areas over the past decade, including EKF Diagnostics Holdings Plc and BBI Solutions OEM Limited.
• In addition, Andrew has developed a niche specialism working with a range of professional service practices, including accountancy, auctioneering and legal firms, to develop and execute their complex corporate structures, succession planning, acquisition and disposal strategies.
• Andrew has over thirty years experience advising upon the strategy and structuring of corporate transactions and their documentation, negotiation and completion.
• Andrew works with shareholders in companies to establish and implement exit strategies. He has recently advised the shareholders of Monmouthshire Timber Supplies Limited on its sale to Premier Forest Group.
• Andrew has helped advise several clients regarding the structure and implementation of a sale transaction with an employee ownership trust established for that purpose.
