Berry Smith’s Commercial Property team has again been shortlisted for Property Law Firm of the Year at the Insider Wales Property Awards which are being held on Thursday 28th June at Cardiff City Hall.
The Commercial Property team is led by partners Martin Pursall and Chris Jones plus consultant Roger Berry, all of whom are recommended in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners legal directories. The department has a total of 11 fee earners plus 5 support staff.
The Commercial Property team has sustained its recent success by continuing to develop its relationships with locally based banks and financial institutions including Principality Commercial, the Development Bank of Wales (formerly Finance Wales) and HSBC and with various housebuilders and commercial developers including Waterstone Homes, Jehu Group, Portabella, Vastint Hospitality and Mumbles Group. It has also seen a significant increase in work relating to the National Procurement Service Legal Services Framework Agreement for public sector work advising Welsh Government, various local authorities and other public sector organisations on property matters.
The firm has dealt with a wide range of significant commercial property transactions over the last twelve months with local, national and international organisations in a range of sectors including manufacturing, life science, hotels, finance, residential and commercial development, public sector and health care.
Berry Smith’s Commercial Property team effectively handles the entire property life-cycle and acts for a broad range of clients including developers, investors, landlords, tenants and house builders in respect of properties situated throughout the UK.
