Berry Smith is delighted to have advised the shareholders of their sale of South Wales based Box Litho Limited to the management team.
Box Litho, originally founded by Glenn Griffiths and Thomas Melay, has gained the expertise and experience to be able to become specialists in the manufacture of litho laminated packaging, recognised as leading manufacturers of litho printed laminated boxes for many different market sectors. Their clients range from small independent companies to large blue-chip organisations.
Berry Smith worked closely with the shareholders throughout the transaction to facilitate their succession plan and to help deliver a smooth and efficient transaction. The sale will enable the management team to take ownership and lead the business into its next phase of growth.
Emma Borrington, Corporate Partner, led the deal for Berry Smith. Other key members of the Berry Smith team who worked on the transaction were Ellen Lewis (Corporate Finance) and Jacob Sims (Corporate Finance).
Emma commented: “It was a pleasure to advise Glenn and Diane on the sale of their shares. When selling a business you have grown and developed over many years there are always many emotional ties, however, Box Litho, was ready to be taken to the next stage of its future development and no doubt the new management team will be just as successful as the sellers in achieving this.“
Glenn said: “An exit strategy involving existing management has always been the preferred option for us. The team will facilitate a seamless transition for our valued customers and suppliers.
Emma and her team at Berry Smith, have provided expert guidance throughout the process, along with a sensitivity that was very much appreciated. Diane and myself felt well represented at any point of contention and are delighted with the end result.”
