EMPLOYMENT SOLICITOR- 3 years + PQE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an employment solicitor to join our Employment and HR Team, working on a hybrid basis.

Job Description

In this role you will be working alongside a Head of Department and team of 5 fee-earners on a broad spectrum of Employment Law and HR matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career in Employment Law and HR as part of a well-established firm and to work with a range of different businesses, from large multi-nationals plcs, well-known public-sector organisations, to other SME businesses located throughout the UK and globally.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Running your own case load /assisting other fee earners within a supportive and friendly team.
  • Dealing with settlement agreement matters.
  • Contract and policy drafting.
  • Running / assisting with employment tribunal claims and pre-litigation negotiations.
  • Providing HR support and advice on the full spectrum of Employment Law / HR issues.
  • Providing support to our corporate finance and commercial teams on matters such as TUPE, drafting / reviewing employment provisions within corporate documents and drafting / reviewing service agreements / consultancy agreements.
  • Assisting with internal investigations on behalf of clients.
  • Conducting in person and online training events for clients on Employment Law / HR.
  • Assisting with business development activities, including seminars, training and blogs.

Applicant Criteria

Required skills and experience:

· 3 Year plus PQE experience in Employment Law and HR matters

· Exceptional communication and client care skills

· Organised and methodical approach with good attention to detail

· Self-motivated and ability to work well individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced but supportive environment.

LEGAL ASSISTANT-COMMERCIAL PROPERTY

We are a well-established law firm with a strong reputation in commercial property, known for combining expertise with a collaborative and supportive team culture. We are now seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our expanding Commercial Property Team.

Job Description

As a Legal Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our solicitors and fee earners with the management of their caseload. Your responsibilities will include:

· File management including the opening and closing of files.

· Undertaking anti-money laundering checks for new clients

· Obtaining and reviewing Land Registry title documents using the online portal

· Ordering property searches

· Taking incoming calls, accurately relaying messages and making calls when required

· Preparing Completion Statements

· Preparing and filing Stamp Duty Land Tax and Land Transaction Tax Returns.

· Assisting with post-completion tasks, including registering deeds at the Land Registry

· General administrative tasks

Applicant Criteria

We’re ideally looking for someone who is:

· Experienced in a legal secretary/assistant role (property law experience desirable)

· Professional, proactive, and a strong communicator

· Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

· Confident in managing multiple tasks and deadlines

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems

As a Legal Assistant you will receive:
