Berry Smith Advises on Cardo Group’s First Irish Acquisition

Berry Smith LLP is delighted to have advised long-standing client, Cardo Group Limited, on its landmark acquisition of Irish companies CTS Projects Limited and CTS Projects (Ireland) Limited. This marks Cardo’s first move into the Irish market and further demonstrates its impressive growth strategy this year.

The deal involved the purchase of the entire issued share capital of both CTS businesses. Founded in 2006 by Connaire McGreevy, CTS delivers maintenance services to more than 65,000 properties across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Known for quality, reliability, and strong community ties, CTS represents a natural fit for Cardo’s expanding portfolio.

Berry Smith advised on all legal aspects of the transaction, including corporate, commercial, and employment matters, working closely with Liam Bevan and Alex Crewe of Cardo. The team also benefitted from the support of local counsel David Rowan, Lauren Taylor, James Greene, and their colleagues at A&L Goodbody.

The project was led by Emma Borrington, Corporate Partner, supported by Abbie Baker and Edmund Anya (Corporate Finance), and Sarah Alford and Sam Evans (Employment).

Emma Borrington commented:

“It was a privilege to support Liam and Alex on this landmark acquisition. This is a significant step for Cardo, and we look forward to continuing our partnership as they drive growth across the construction and renewable energy sectors.”

Liam Bevan, Director of Cardo, added:

“CTS is a milestone for us, and Berry Smith’s expertise was invaluable. Emma and her team’s professionalism and foresight ensured a smooth process, anticipating our needs and making the journey straightforward for us and our partners.”
