Fabio grech

Fabio Grech, who heads up the Employment and HR team, has considerable experience in all aspects of Employment Law.  He joined Berry Smith in 2007, prior to which he worked at another leading regional firm. 

Fabio has expertise on strategic issues affecting large sections of the workforce.   He advises on all employment law aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing, insolvency and business reorganisations, including changes to terms and collective redundancies.  

Fabio brings HR support to a range of businesses and advises on complex internal dispute resolution; performance management and senior executive terminations.   Fabio also represents many local business and senior employees in all forms of employment tribunal litigation, including constructive and unfair dismissal, whistle-blowing, discrimination and breach of contract claims.

Recent instructions include:

• Advising a FTSE 100 listed service company on the TUPE implications arising upon insolvency;
• Guiding a regional charity through the acquisition of a workforce through a service provision change, followed by an immediate business reorganisation and redundancy exercise;
• Ongoing HR support to a renowned London Higher Education College;
• Representing a national civil engineering and construction business in a class action brought by its former employees;
• Advising a leading structural consultancy on collective redundancies across the UK.
